Construction Heroes furnished and erected the aluminum framing and the louvered screen wall on the rooftop of Pepco Substation #161 located on New Jersey Avenue. In addition to team effort, this project required precise coordination to ensure the proper layout was maintained and the desired 45 PSF wind load requirements were achieved.
We also removed the existing staircase railings throughout two Pepco substations. The new steel railings were fabricated off site and installed to achieve code compliance. For other existing steel, we rehabbed and painted the railings and stringers in a high visibility yellow finish. We then furnished and installed new vibrant stair treads.
Finally, in three Pepco locations, we furnished and installed the acid containment systems while concurrently operational.
